After staging protest marches on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, citizen platforms and the organization called “Mujeres Guerreras” in Sucrethey called themselves for this Tuesday, January 3 at 5:00 p.m.
They will go out again in a protest demonstration in defense of democracy and against the arrests of citizens in the Government of Luis Arce and the imprisonment of the governor of San Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho.
The starting point will be the square of El Reloj, located about seven blocks from the city center to go down to the 25 de Mayo squarewhere a rally will take place.
“This Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. we are calling for a march in defense of democracy in Bolivia, we must not leave Santa Cruz alone in this fight. The drivers, trade unionists, the whole town in general must be there. These government abuses are already of a good size”, said Julián Oropeza, leader of the Single Union Confederation of Peasant Workers of Bolivia (Csutcb), parallel to the organization related to the Government.
The leader said that the march is open to anyone who wants to express their dissatisfaction with the way in which they intend to silence the dissenting voices of the Government.
The demonstrations are organized on the day in which the Judicial Branch and the Plurinational Constitutional Court they will carry out inauguration acts of the 2023 administrationthe first in its own hall and the second in the Casa de la Libertad.
