Finally, the current regional governor of Junín, Zósimo Cárdenas Muje, was sworn in in the district of Pichanaqui, province of Chanchamayo. The entire Regional Council traveled there and for the first time a governor of the region was sworn in in the Central Selva. Cárdenas Muje was sworn in by the oldest counselor as dictated by the regulations, and in this case it was Alejandro Barreda Arias from the opposition.
