In Montevideo there were four homicides between the early morning and morning of this Sunday, January 1. A 29-year-old woman, a 45-year-old man, one of 27 and another of 22 died, sources from the Ministry of the Interior reported.
29 year old woman
The first homicide occurred in Guillapi and Roberto Koch, Barrio Oriental, reported Telenoche and confirmed The Observer. After 00:45, police officers were alerted by a person who claimed to be wounded by a firearm.
Once at the scene, the police found a woman with no vital signs and a man with a gunshot wound to the hip. They requested a medical emergency.
The death of the 29-year-old woman was confirmed and the 43-year-old man was transferred to the Maciel Hospital. They both had criminal records, she for selling drugs, they reported from the portfolio.
According to the man, a person got off a motorcycle, asked for the woman, entered the house and shot her. He ran out and was also shot.

Minutes later, at At 5:00 a 22-year-old man, wounded by a gunshot, was admitted to the Pasteur Hospital emergency room, as reported the Unified Command Center. Police officers went to the scene, confirmed the information and concluded that the young man had died, according to what they said from the ministry. The Zone II Investigations area is working on the case.
Finally, around 8:00 on the first day of the year, Police officers went to Ideario Artiguista and Camino Las Carretas, in the Los Bulevares neighborhood, for a man wounded by a firearm.
There, people present told the troops that there was a ravine in the background. They came closer and saw that there was a man half submerged. To the naked eye the body showed no visible injuries, but It was found that he had no vital signs.
Witnesses at the scene reported that a New Year’s Eve party was being held, when an argument began, people ran out to the area of the ravine and a shot was heard. Scientific Police and the Zone IV Investigations area are also working on this case.
