Although Omar “N” was detained by the authorities, information began to circulate on social networks about his alleged release, which was confirmed by relatives of Jorge Claudio Mendoza, who are now demanding justice for his death.
On Friday, during the morning conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Governor Alfredo del Mazo Maza promised that there would be justice for Jorge Claudio.
“We are going to ask the Prosecutor’s Office to address this matter, there should be no injustice and this type of situation should not happen without any consequence, the event that happened in the municipality of Cuautitlán. We will be supporting and accompanying the family in whatever way possible,” said the president.
“Ask the Prosecutor’s Office to review the case again and if he was released, that the same Prosecutor’s Office can review the underlying matter,” he added.
Omar’s release sparked nationwide outrage. The case has sparked protests.
