There is tension in the Ballivián area of El Ato, at the doors of the house of Richard Choque, the femicide and serial rapist. The neighbors demand the demolition of the building, but the Government clarified that while the investigations continue, this work cannot be carried out. In that place the bodies of two young women murdered by the accused were found.
This was explained by the Vice Minister of Citizen Security, Roberto Ríos, in the midst of the population’s protest.
“We must speak clearly, the Public Ministry has indicated that it cannot participate in this act, for which they have abandoned the act that we were going to carry out, in that sense, the demolition cannot be carried out yet, brothers, because You still have to continue collecting evidence, we have to understand,” he said.
The announcement was not well received by the neighbors, who responded with shouts and whistles.
“I appeal to your conscience,” exhorted Ríos, who held meetings with neighbors and relatives of women reported missing who came to that place hoping to find some clue.

The mayor of El Alto, Eva Copa, also arrived at the scene with heavy machinery and workers to help with the demolition and complained about the absence of the prosecutor in charge of the case.
“We must be clear, we have come to demolish this place and the Public Ministry, in charge of the prosecutor Jordán, has withdrawn without paying attention to us, that is what we are claiming, it cannot be that it continues to cover up this impunity that has mourned many. families from El Alto,” he said.
The Police apprehended Richard for a complaint of sexual abuse, but in the meantime they discovered that he had the record of 77 people on his phones and cell phone chips, including the names of Iris and Lucy, who were reported missing in 2021.
The criminal confessed that he had murdered them and buried them in an abandoned room in his house. Agents confirmed that his remains were at the scene.
The neighbors want that land to be used for a police and service station for the neighborhood. On Tuesday, amid screams and demands for justice, they burned the entrance to the house and some belongings that the Police are now investigating.
