The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, highlighted this Friday the Summer +ATR program, through which 263,000 students reconnected with the school during the summer season, and stated that it is “a different proposal” for ” all the boys of the province in this recovery stage“.
Throughout January, Buenos Aires students participated in the program of educational, sports, cultural and recreational activities to recover the bond with the school, promote learning, take care of the body and recreation, which took place in 2,490 offices throughout the province.
“After a month of activities, we have reached the end of ‘Summer + ATR’,” Kicillof posted on his Twitter social network account.
The governor said that the General Director of Culture and Education, Alberto Sileoni, “participated in the closing together with boys and girls from Chascomús who throughout January enjoyed reconnection activities with the school.”
“More than 263 thousand Buenos Aires students they had learning spaces designed so that they recover contact with the classroom through entertainment and games”, added the Buenos Aires president and analyzed that it is “a different proposal, which we implement for all the children of the province in this stage of recovery”.

Likewise, he maintained that “Verano +ATR integrated the school with sports clubs and centersa work in coordination with Nationthe municipalities and other organizations of the community“, and recalled that “more than 30 thousand teachers joined to reinforce the contents and ensure equal opportunities“.
“Our students and teachers will be able to meet again in schools on March 2 thanks to the investment of the program Schools to Work and to historical vaccination plan that we carry out”, he affirmed and said that “it is a joy and an enormous pride, fruit of the effort of all and all”.
In this context, Kicillof stated that the initiative was aimed at Buenos Aires students who are part of the Program for the intensification of education “+ATR” who attend the levels Primary, Secondary and who were in room 5 of the Initial level in 2021, as well as all girls, boys and young people of school age who wish to be part of the proposal.
The duration of the activities was 4 hours a dayfrom Monday to Friday in the morning and in the afternoon.

All areas of the State working together
The Undersecretary of Buenos Aires Education, Claudia Bracchi, referred on Friday to the closing of the Summer program +ATR that allowed almost 280 thousand children in the province to reconnect with the system, considered that “school is the best place” and stressed that for his government “no child is lost”.
“School is the best place”, said the official, and stressed that “for us, no boy is lost. We are obstinately teachers”, she defined when analyzing the completion of the Summer + ATR program through an act held in Chascomús.
The initiative began to be developed at the beginning of January and, according to the authorities, more than 278 thousand boys and girls from the Buenos Aires territory participated.
“We closed activities in the 135 districts, in the 1,400 offices that were articulated with municipalities and institutions and with an essential task that has to do with the reconnection of our students,” he said in statements to radio Provincia de Buenos Aires.
The official emphasized that “this January, knowledge was also replenished with support classes” and sports and cultural activities were added, which reached almost 280 thousand boys and girls from kindergarten to high school.
Meanwhile, with a view to the 2022 school year, he emphasized that “there is very intense work for the start of classes.”
“The governor presented free vaccination for all teachers and we are working hard on the vaccination campaign so that there are posts in the schools, an experience that we already did last year and we are going to intensify now from February”, he commented.
In that sense, the official pointed out that “Today ATR Summer ends and Activities begin on Tuesday, February 1 for those boys and girls who need to replenish knowledge to reconnect with their trajectories”.
He specified that “the reconnection is key and we have been working on it since 2020” and in this regard, he maintained that “this January, in addition to the summer activities, they were working on teaching, that shows the effort and interest of the students “.
Finally, he asserted that “there is a need for teacher proximity“.
