The political leader Geanilda vasquez has been designated as consul General of the Dominican Republic in MiamiUnited States, through Decree 750-22 issued by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, on December 20 of this year.
The provision repeals article 11 of Decree number 354-20, of August 17, 2022, which appointed Jacobo Eugenio Fernández under this position.
About Geanilda Vasquez
Vásquez, who served as Minister of State without Portfolio of the Presidency, is a lawyer, adviser, businesswoman and founder of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
He has completed several diplomas, postgraduate courses and specializations in High Management and Integral Management, as well as a master’s degree in Public Management.
In 2014, she launched her candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic, becoming the first woman to opt for this position.
