The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM) reported that for the week of January 29 to February 4 the price from the fuels will remain unchanged.
Ramon Perez Fermin, deputy minister of MICassured that the Dominican Government will absorb 400 million pesos to avoid a new rise from the fuels.
“By absorbing 400 million pesos, we prevent the citizen from being beaten with hikes dramatic. Just this week, the LPG it should have increased 13 pesos per gallon; the Gasoline Premium 10 pesos; the Regular almost 17 pesos per gallon”, said Perez Fermin.
In that sense, the Premium Gasoline will continue to cost RD$283.60 and the Regular Gasoline RD$266.50.
Meanwhile, the Optimum Diesel will continue at RD$233.10 and the Regular Diesel RD$212.

Similarly, Fuel Oil 1% will continue at RD$176.29.
With this decision not to increase the price of fuels, the Government gives a break to the population that was screaming for the two weeks followed by increases.
Tickets
The minister of Presidency, Lisandro Macarrulla, advanced today that a increase of passage despite the increase in fuels.
“We are looking for the best solution for the Dominican people. So far there has been no increase in the price of the ticket and the solution apparently is going to be that there is definitely no increase in transportation. At least in the coming weeks,” Macarrulla said.
