The Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (Minec), through the National Reforestation Plan 2022-2023, managed to cultivate 8,798,422 forest, fruit and ornamental plants, in 14,100 hectares of the national territory.
The information was published through his account on the social network Twitter, @MinecOficialwhere they offered a summary of their management during the year 2022.
Likewise, the ministerial entity pointed out that as a State body they promoted the recovery and preservation of the environment through five programs: Agroforestry, Sowing Life, A Student a Tree, Ecourbanism and Conserving.
In relation to the development of reforestation, he explained that 4,065,328 students, 263 urban developments and 24 watersheds benefited, involving 1,083,886 people.
In addition, to create ecological and general awareness, a new culture on the subject carried out a total of 1,347 forestry activities in the country.
They also highlighted in their message the establishment of an alliance with the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG), through the Maderas del Orinoco company, to produce various species of forest plants.
It is worth highlighting the important need for reforestation of the territory to stop the loss of ecosystems and stop the great deterioration that the planet is having, for this reason the national government makes a significant effort to protect Mother Earth.
