The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, accompanied by the authorities of the capital city, the mayoress A/J Carmen Meléndez and the head of the Government of the Capital District, Nahum Hernández, delivered three thousand 960 toys for the boys and girls of the El Valle parish.
Rodríguez pointed out that the delivery figures have been updated and, so far, around 13 million toys have been distributed throughout the national territory.
He also stressed that thanks to the System of Missions and Great Missions it has been possible to combat inequality and the Bolivarian Government led by President Nicolás Maduro, has placed social investment as a banner, which was seen in the Fourth Republic as a social expense, ” The most important thing for us is social investment in health, education, food and housing and to guarantee the happiness of our people”.
He also pointed out that the Happy Christmas Plan is a policy promoted by the Head of State to provide, protect and give joy to the children of the Homeland this Christmas. “We are already on the eve of the good night. The message is of love, union, health, hope for the people, staying on the path of growth, social happiness and peace”.
In the city of Caracas, the Merry Christmas Plan has covered 22 parishes and brought happiness to 1,329,000 boys and girls living in popular communities.
For his part, the head of the Government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, stressed that the Merry Christmas Plan has been “a tremendous deployment throughout the month of December, I think we have reached a joyous and happy Christmas and of course today when we are waiting the birth of the child God we want to wish the entire Venezuelan family a Merry Christmas”.
Likewise, he stressed that by 2023 the hard work will continue, following the 1×10 line of Good Government to meet the needs of the communities by providing a timely response.
The mayoress of Caracas Carmen Meléndez, highlighted that it has been an articulated work to reach the 22 parishes, 600 communities and the more than 1,200 streets, “where the gift sent by our president Nicolás Maduro has arrived so that no child is left without toys for this Christmas and so we have toured the hospitals, in the shelters where there are children”.
