Self-convened citizens installed a corrupt Christmas tree in the vicinity of the Judiciary.
Cándido Brizuela alias “Juan Pueblo”, creator of the tree of the corrupt, affirmed that these protests began five years ago. At that time, there were only five publicly known corrupt individuals, including Óscar González Daher.
“What is shown is that state institutions do not punish corruption. We have identified several political actors as importantly corrupt. Now everyone is encouraged to steal because there are no penalties. We have a list of people, more than 11 parliamentarians who were removed from the institution for these events,” he commented.
Last year, the list of corrupt individuals amounted to 137, while this year it amounts to 250. They belong to the three powers of the State, including 50 prosecutors, 30 of them belonging to the Ramón González Daher case.
Brizuela questioned that the only one behind bars in Tacumbú is Ramón González Daher, citing the example of Javier Díaz Verón, former attorney general, with whom justice was benevolent in his opinion.
