In Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) labor and social justice is being done to the workers, assured the general director of the state company, Octavio Romero Oropeza, who said that health benefits have improved, while the basification process continues for older employees.

However, according to Pemex, resident doctors receive a higher annual net income than in previous years, after In 2013, a gross amount was established that was detrimental, both for residents and for the Public Treasury.

Last February an agreement was issued where the working conditions of residents were improved based on current regulations, with which a contract-scholarship was formalized, in which new concepts were incorporated into their gross earnings.

According to the oil company, in this way have a lower tax burden with base salary, enjoy vacation bonus, Christmas bonus, didactic material, economic support, semester academic training and educational scholarship.

Company data indicates that in terms of net annual perceptions received by residents from 2013 to 2021, compared to this year, a resident with level R1 went from receiving 147 thousand pesos per year to 167 thousand 311, an increase of 20 thousand 311 pesos .

While resident doctors with an R5 level went from 177,000 to 200,973 pesos per year, 23,973 more pesos.

The company also highlights that it increased the number of positions for resident doctors, as it went from 409 in 2018 to 845 in 2022.

On the other hand, Oropeza Romero highlighted that the labor stability program has favored unionized workers with promotions through the ranks and they have initiated, through direct and transparent procedures, the bases of temporary workers who for many years have strengthened the productive activities of Pemex.
