British DJ Maxi Jazz, leader of electronic music band Faithless, has died

British DJ Maxwell Fraser, artistically known as Maxi Jazz and for being the vocalist and leader of the electronic music band Faithless, He passed away this Friday at the age of 65 for reasons that have not yet been revealed.and was hailed by his bandmates on social media as a “brilliant lyricist and terrific stage presence.”

As reported by the specialized site The Hollywood Reporter, the news was confirmed through that channel by Sister Bliss and Rollo Armstrong, the other two members of Faithless, who assured that their colleague died “peacefully in his sleep.”

“He was a car lover, an eternal chatterbox, a beautiful person, a moral compass, and a genius. He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways.”they added in the post they made on Facebook.

Furthermore, they wrote: “He brought real meaning and a message to our music. He was also a lovely human being, who had time for everyone and a knowledge that was as deep as it was accessible. It was an honor and, of course, a real pleasure to work with him.”

About Maxi Jazz and Faithless

The group originally from the city of London and born in the ’90s, rose to fame in that decade for their hit “Insomnia”, and for other successful cuts such as “We Come 1”, released in 2001.

Maxi Jazz, who had started his career as a pirate radio DJ, was the leader of Faithless from 1995 until 2011, when he decided to leave, and then again from 2015 to 2016, when he dedicated himself to forming his own project, Maxi Jazz & The E-Type Boys.
