Face to face

The municipal mayor Jhonny Fernández has made news for these Christmas dates. He is packing his bags for a trip abroad that he will take between January 9 and 13, 2023. Without stating the reasons for his absence or knowing the destination to which he will go, the Municipal Council approved, with six votes, the permission requested by Fernández. The voice of the opposition councilors was barely felt on the matter, as if the mayor’s trip was not a matter of great importance, who only argued personal issues to carry it out, although keeping the course he will take in strict reserve. He means that, except for his intimate environment, no one will know why or where the main person responsible for managing and running the city of Santa Cruz will be sent to move.

and how it happened On previous occasions, probably because it is someone who is completely trusted, Mayor Fernández will replace his son Luis Miguel who serves as a councilor for UCS in the Deliberative Body and where his participation is almost imperceptible. In any case, another ucesista has acquired a much greater role, despite being a substitute, with frequent appearances in front of cameras and microphones.

To say the least, it is not responsible or ethical. that the mayor once again entrust his endearing offspring with the care of the municipal chair. Neither is the administration of the largest and most conflictive city in the country with its very serious problems that it has dragged on, without any sign of a solution, for a very long time.
