One inmate killed another in Module 11 in full view of visiting children and adults.

A fight in which four inmates were involved resulted this Saturday in the death of a 32-year-old inmate in the Santiago Vázquez jail.
It happened this Saturday in Module 11 of that prison, he confirmed to The Observer the parliamentary commissioner for the prison system, Juan Miguel Petit. It was the setting for the usual family visit that inmates receive in the hours before Christmas Eve and, therefore, in full view of children and adults who had come to see their relatives.
As reported by Underlined, it was a fight between inmates. The murdered inmate, along with a partner, confronted two other inmates.
Authorities maintain that the year-end holidays have always been complex to manage in the prison system. Beyond this point, Petit insisted that Module 11 of Santiago Vàzquez urgently needs total recycling – both materially and programmatically – or else its immediate closure.
