The president of the Encuentro Ciudadano party, Delsa Solórzano, ratified her commitment to work to achieve a political change for next year, which will mark the end of the Venezuelan diaspora and the separation of families during the Christmas festivities.

“In the face of the new year that is soon to begin, we have to renew hope, which must be marked by the political change that Venezuela is so desperate for,” he said in a Christmas message broadcast through his social networks this Saturday, December 24.

For the leader, it is a priority that 2022 is the last year in which Venezuelan families are forced to celebrate Christmas remotely, given the need to flee a country that does not offer conditions to develop a full life and satisfy their needs. basic.

According to data from the Inter-Management Coordination Platform for Refugees and Migrants from Venezuela (R4V)there are 7.1 million Venezuelans outside its borders due to the crisis that the country has experienced in the last decade.

This year alone, despite the economic recovery, the mobilization of more than a million Venezuelans for migratory purposes was reported, so families continued to separate in 2022.

«The Venezuelan family has continued to divide and spread throughout the world. We hope this is the last year we can’t hug each other, the last year we continue to celebrate Christmas and New Years through social media or the cold cell phone screen,” he said.
