The sanctioned Minister of Finance and Public Credit of Nicaragua, Iván Acosta, highlighted among the achievements of the year the growth of exports and remittances in 2022.
According to the official report, this nation will close the year with total exports of 7.5 billion dollars. For its part, the income in family remittances will reach close to 3,200 million dollars, numbers that the State qualifies as a new record. Based on these data, they affirm that Nicaragua had “a good year” in economic matters.
Between January and October, the Daniel Ortega regime received 2,578.3 million dollars in family remittances, which represents 47.6% more than in the first ten months of 2021, according to the Central Bank of Nicaragua. This figure represents 18.4% of Nicaragua’s GDP.
