At least 22 deaths registered by fire in nursing home in Siberia
At least 22 people died in a fire that occurred on the night of Friday to Saturday in a private nursing home in Kemerovo, in Siberia, located in central-eastern Russia.
“According to the latest information, during the inspection of the place, the bodies of two other people were found. The death toll rose to 22. Six other people were injured, two of them were hospitalized in serious condition with burns,” reported the Russian Investigative Committee, in charge of the main investigations in the country.
In a video released by the emergency services, several fire trucks are seen stationed near the small establishment, among charred rubble. The interior of the building was completely burned.
According to the Tass news agency, the fire spread overnight to 180 square meters of the two-story wooden building.
