Christmas: Niño Manuelito, Regalo and Pastorcita are some names of Peruvians alluding to these dates

As every year at Christmas, the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec) released the names of Peruvian men and women alluding to these dates.

Through Twitter, the entity recalled that they have a tradition that identifies them and that has left its mark. “Find out how many are named after the characters and symbols of this tradition”.

In addition, they specified that Christmas traditions are different in each part of our country and the world.

Names alluding to Christmas

In the first place is the name of María, a total of 12,192,267 Peruvians are called the mother of Jesus.

It is followed by José (821,762), Jesús (415,322), Angel (352,198), Gabriel (174,010), Rodolfo (41,864), Angeles (41,776), Estrella (39,889), among others.

Some infrequent names are Christmas (9), Nacimiento (5), Pastorcita (4), Regalo (3), Niño Jesús (2), Cascabel (1), Niño Manuelito (1), among others.

Attention on non-working days

Reniec informed the general public that it will attend Monday, December 26 and Friday, December 30, days declared non-working, in a total of 213 service centers nationwide, from 8:45 am to 4:45 pm
