The dollar closed the penultimate week of the year below $4,750

The week from December 19 to 23, the penultimate week of 2022, the dollar in Colombia closed it with losses and below 4,750 pesos.

In recent days, the currency registered slight losses that moved it away from the 4,800-peso barrier and this Friday the 23rd would not be the exception.

The day started at 4,749 pesos and closed at 4,737 pesos. The highest price he achieved was 4,761 pesos and the lowest was 4,725 pesos.

In the end, the average price of the dollar on Friday was 4,744.94 pesos, 15.67 pesos below the Representative Market Rate (TRM) of the day, which was 4,760.61 pesos.

With respect to the average trading price of Monday, December 19 (4,782.02 pesos), the US currency fell 37.02 pesos.

The euro closed this week slightly above $1.06driven by the slowdown in inflation in the United States and by the message of confidence issued by the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, on the occasion of the end of the year.

The ECB set the reference exchange rate for the euro at $1.0622.
