The Ministry of Health detailed 3,495 new cases, of which 2,597 correspond to symptomatic people and 436 did not present symptoms. In addition, 1,442 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 5,001,737. and recovered patients reached 4,910,775. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 25 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 62,988 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 15.68% nationwide.
Regarding active cases, these reached 11,894 people and PCR tests amounted to 22,919 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,538,151.
Meanwhile, there are 102 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 72 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,831 critical beds enabled and 319 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 18.3%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Arica and Parinacota, Tarapacá, Antofagasta and O’Higgins.
