The Buenos Aires government held this Thursday the third draw for the CREA program, that allows access to lines of credit for the improvement, renovation and expansion of homes, the result of which will be known in 10 days, informed the Ministry of Habitat and Urban Development of Buenos Aires.

The administrator of the Housing Institute (IVBA), Diego Menéndez, led the third draw of the Buenos Aires CREA program, an initiative aimed at Buenos Aires families who need to make improvements, reforms or extensions to their homes.
“It is an initiative that arises from the need to address the qualitative housing deficit,” said Menéndez.

What did the Program consist of?
The Buenos Aires CREA grants accessible credits, prioritizing large families or those made up of people with disabilities; single-parent homes with children and adolescents; trans people, transvestites, victims of gender violence; and households in neighborhoods with a situation of social or environmental vulnerability.
According to the portfolio, the program has three lines of financing: minor reforms, with a repayment term of up to 36 monthly installments; major reforms and extensions, both with a period of up to 72 monthly installments for repayment.
The amounts go from $252,454 to $1,009,819 and are updated according to UVI, an index that accompanies the update of construction prices to keep the amount of the work up to date.
