Atlánticos remain unstoppable by achieving their seventh win in a row

The Atlánticos de Bocas del Toro and Colón have had an excellent winning streak this season in the Professional Baseball League of Panama (Probeis) by adding their seventh straight win by beating the Los Santos Astronauts 5 runs to 1 at Rod Carew Stadium .

Pitchers Davis Romero, Abdiel Velásquez, Luis Machuca and Eric Mariñez combined to limit the Astronauts to only 6 hits and 1 run. In the end Machuca, Atlánticos’ third pitcher, was credited with the victory by working 4 innings without allowing scores, he struck out 3, with 2 walks and they connected 2 unstoppables. Charged with the defeat by the Astronauts Jonathan Amaya who pitched 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs, struck out 8 and gave 1 walk, plus a home run.

Edgar Muñoz connected 4-2, with 1 homer, scored 2, drove in 1 run and stole a base to be the best offensive player for the Atlantic, Saul Garza contributed by batting 3-1 with an RBI. For the Astronauts Carlos Jiménez 3-1 with 1 RBI and Abraham Rodríguez 3-1 with 1 run scored.

This Friday continues the activity of the season of the Professional Baseball League of Panama (Probeis) when at 10:00 am they face Los Atlánticos (7-4) they face the Federales (9-2) and from 5 :00 pm The Astronauts (1-10) meet the Eagles (5-6) both games at Rod Carew Stadium.
