Erick Castillo and Jhonny Santos homered for the Federales de Chiriquí to achieve their ninth win of the season by beating the Águilas Metropolitanas 6 runs to 2 in the continuation of the Probeis league.
Castillo took her out of the stadium in the fifth inning where the Federales scored three times and took control of the game, they scored a run in the seventh, another streak in the eighth and in the ninth Jhonny Santos homered in the sixth run of the Chiricanos, while the only two runs for the Eagles came from a home run by Angel Basabe in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Harold Árauz had a quality start by allowing 5 hits, they scored no runs, fanned 2 and gave up 4 walks in 4.2 innings worked and left without a decision, the winner of the game was Severino González who pitched 1.2 innings in relief without allowing runs and they connected 2 unstoppables and struck out 1 batter. For the Eagles I charge Ezequiel Bonilla with the defeat.
The best on offense for the Federals were Ariel Sandoval 5-3 with 2 RBIs; Jhonny Santos 4-1, a home run, 1 run scored and 1 RBI, and Erick Castillo 5-2, a home run, with 1 run scored and 1 RBI. For the eagles, Angel Basabe 5-1 with a home run, 1 run scored and 2 RBIs and Allan Mesa 3-1 with one run scored.
This Friday continues the activity of the season of the Professional Baseball League of Panama (Probeis) when at 10:00 am they face Los Atlánticos (7-4) they face the Federales (9-2) and from 5 :00 pm The Astronauts (1-10) meet the Eagles (5-6) both games at Rod Carew Stadium.
