Almost a week after the presentation of the cabinet of the President-elect Gabriel Boric, the future ministers will hold a first meeting this Friday -together with the incoming president- at the Casona Cañaveral, in the Lo Barnechea commune.
The purpose of the meeting is for the ministerial holders to get to know each other, to review the government program, the actions for the coming weeks and the priorities for the first 100 days of the new administration.
In addition, the attendance of the presidents of the seven parties and movements that will make up the future government is expected.
The future minister spokesperson for the Government, Camila Vallejo (PC), had indicated that at the meeting they will discuss “about the government plan, how to begin to materialize the government program during the first months of our mandate, we hope it will be a day of great fraternity, of encounter, of get to know each other and work”.
The next finance minister Mario Marcel, will participate in the meeting telematically, since he is infected with Covid-19.
Undersecretaries
The meeting takes place when the list of undersecretaries is not yet ready. Although it had been established to deliver the names during this week, the process was extended by the data check.
“I know that there are still many expectations regarding the undersecretaries, we have been working hard on that, it is almost completely closed, but there is a check that has to be done and that takes a while. Therefore, being the most responsible thing is that we consider that we could announce it on Tuesday, “said Vallejo.
Likewise, there has been discussion within Approve Dignity. And it is that from the RD, Comunes, and the PC, they manifested an “imbalance” in the appointment of the cabinet, considering themselves diminished compared to other forces, or even remaining on a par with the PPD, PR and PL slogan Third.
