Through Resolution number 4543 of December 21, 2022, the Ministry of ICT invited telecommunications operators to express theiror interest in obtaining permits for the use of the radioelectric spectrumso that they can operate and provide land mobile services in the following frequency bands:

a. Up to 10 MHz of radio spectrum in the 700 MHz band.
b. Up to 10 MHz of radio spectrum in the 1900 MHz band.
c. Up to 30 MHz of radio spectrum in the 2500 MHz band.
d. Up to 400 MHz of radio spectrum in the 3500 MHz band.
and. Up to 2.8 GHz of radio spectrum in the 26 GHz band.
The operators will have a term to present their expressions of interest huntil 11:59 p.m. on December 29, 2022.
“We invite those interested to express their interest in this process, taking into account that spectrum allocation is an essential public policy mechanism to improve access, quality of mobile service and massify the country’s digital environment, as well as improve quality of life of all Colombians”, pointed out the ICT minister, Sandra Milena Urrutia Pérez.
The Resolution will be published from today on the Ministry’s website (https://mintic.gov.co/portal/inicio/Sala-de-prensa/Noticias/273592:Resolucion-4543-del-21-de-diciembre-de -2022) and until next December 26.

Interested operators should send a ‘Letter of Expression of Interest’ in PDF format in accordance with the format of the Resolution Annex, to the email [email protected] and [email protected].
It is expected that in the second quarter of 2023 it will be published for comments the draft resolution opening the spectrum allocation processSaid process will be accompanied by the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce and the control agencies in search of guaranteeing transparency, plurality and free competition. After that, the final resolution would be published and the objective selection process would be carried out in the third quarter.
