The SArgentine election of soccer was world champion two days ago and that caused the population to take to the streets to celebrate the victory both on the day of the victory and the day after and today. The largest concentration of people in the history of our country occurred on the day of the date in different points of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA), specifically in the Obelisk and in the Plaza de Mayo, points where the campus was supposed to soccer would go on to show the World Cup.
It is estimated that they attended these two points, to thank the SArgentine election the fact that brought the World Cup, between 4.5 and 5.5 million people, which constituted the greatest convergence of citizens in our history. From the Argentine Football Association (AFA), after the campus arrived at the Ezeiza international airport, a route was planned in an open-top bus to reach the Obelisk so that the players could greet the fans.
This finally did not happen due to a lack of planning, presumably on the part of the CABA Security Minister, which culminated in an overflow of people on the route defined for the tour, which meant that the bus could not advance to the Obelisk or the Pink House. This vehicle that carried the SArgentine election diverted to the Federal Police Cadet School in the Lugano neighborhood and, from there, the players they boarded helicopters and toured the AMBA to greet the crowd.
The president of the AFA, “Chiqui” Tapia, from his account on the social network Twitter, after the diversion of the caravan and before boarding the helicopters, said: “They don’t let us get to greet all the people who were at the Obelisk, the same security agencies that escorted us, don’t allow us to move forward” and he concluded: “A thousand apologies on behalf of all the champion players. A pity”.
They prepared the Pink House
On behalf of the national government, led by the head of the Executive Power, Alberto Fernández, it was arranged to prepare a reception for the Argentine national team at the Casa Rosada, which would have the historic balcony available to the players where the Scaloneta was expected to greet the crowd just as the world champions of ’78 and ’86 did.
Despite the officialism’s proposal to cede the aforementioned space to the world champion team without the participation of any politician, the caravan in which the players were traveling failed to advance among so many people and, after said flight over AMBA in helicopters, it was arranged for the players to return to the AFA headquarters.
