The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, met this Monday with the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah.
According to official information, this work meeting seeks to deepen strategic relations and boost the cooperation agenda between both countries.
In this sense, Venezuela and Namibia review cooperation as part of the 18 engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda.
Likewise, both nations promote cooperation mechanisms that cover the areas of energy, mining, science and culture that have been fruitful for mutual development.
The meeting between both authorities also analyzes cooperation, diplomacy, multilateralism and issues related to joint development.
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez was accompanied at the meeting by Foreign Minister Carlos Faría and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Africa, Yuri Pimentel, among other authorities.
Relations between the two countries deepened with the beginning of the Bolivarian Revolution, under the vision of the Africa Agenda, a foreign policy format based on rapprochement and recognition of African countries.
Both nations share common visions such as respect for international law, non-interference in internal affairs, strengthening democracy, South-South cooperation and international peace.
Work agenda
Earlier, delegations from Venezuela and Namibia developed a work agenda to promote the strengthening of bilateral relationsframed in the strategic priority granted to the nations of Mother Africa by the Government of President Nicolás Maduro.
The Minister for International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah, has held positions such as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (1990-1996), Minister of Equality and Child Welfare (2000-2005), of Information and Media Communication (2005-2008) and Environment and Tourism (2008-2012).
In recognition of his fight for the independence of the South African nation, on March 3, 2021, he was conferred the Francisco de Miranda Order, in its First Class, granted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, added the note.
