Alluding to the case of Maximiliano Dávila, who is attacking the institution, President Luis Arce asked the uniformed officers to denounce “decisively the bad police officers,” who, in his opinion, “out of ambition allow themselves to be seduced by the temptation of crime”.
The president referred to the matter in the graduation ceremony of the cadets of the National Police Academy (Anapol).
“We cannot fail to say something about the latest events that compromise the image of the Police, they must develop the police career making their maximum effort to comply with the values and principles established in the Constitution and honor the institution by exposing the police officers. bad elements and resolutely denouncing the bad police officers, who out of ambition allow themselves to be seduced by the temptation of crime,” he said.
In this context, he pointed out that the security forces “cannot serve or subordinate themselves to groups or families that we already know have always benefited from the Bolivian State.”

The New South District Court of New York, in the United States, charged the former director of the Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking (Felcn) for six charges and crimes committed between July 2019 and September 2020.
The anti-drug agency (DEA) identified a drug trafficking organization operating in Bolivia to distribute cocaine in that country.
For its part, based on similar evidence, the Prosecutor’s Office prosecuted Dávila for legitimization of illicit profits. He was sent to the La Paz prison of San Pedro with preventive detention.
