AMLO reiterates that Mexico has "open doors" to grant asylum to Pedro Castillo

President Dina Boluarte confirmed last night in an interview with the media that Pedro Castillo’s wife and children are in the Mexican embassy receiving political asylum.

López Obrador emphasized that the arrest of the former president was “completely illegal” based on the violent demonstrations that are shaking the country, although now to a lesser extent. However, he did not mention the radical groups that encourage these acts of vandalism.
