In branches of the Banco de Seguros del Estado, UTE will have charging points for electric vehicles

The president of UTE, Silvia Emaldi, maintained that progress is being made in the placement of these devices throughout the country. The goal is to reach a total of 300 by the end of next year, 50 of them fast charging.

In addition, the signing of the commercial complementarity agreement consists of installing electric vehicle charging points in BSE buildings or branches. Emphasizing both for own and public use, within the framework of a common policy of sustainability and promotion of this type of mobility.

The service is provided by the UTE, through the Electric Vehicle Power Supply System (SAVE), and the BSE establishes the necessary works in the defined facilities. The validity of the agreement is two years, automatically extendable.

The SAVEs, provided by UTE, are incorporated into the corresponding management system through the UTE Mueve application. They are incorporated with data on the location and identification of the chargers, their characteristics and availability.

Emaldi, in his speech, highlighted the collaboration between public companies to provide a better service to citizens. He referred to the development of electric mobility as a boost for the country’s second energy transformation. All this, through the decarbonization policy promoted by the Executive Power.

“In addition to caring for the environment, you also get a reduction in cost compared to loading a combustion vehicle,” he asserted.

The hierarch added that with the installation of posts throughout the national territory, progress is being made in the objective of doubling the number of devices and reaching a total of 300 by the end of next year, 50 of them with fast charging technology.

The president of the BSE, meanwhile, highlighted the importance of public companies working with common goals. “We have many more agreements to do with UTE,” he said.

The event, held at the Palacio de la Luz, was also attended by the vice president of the UTE, Julio Luis Sanguinetti; the president of the BSE, José Amorín Batlle, and the vice president of that organization, Silvana Olivera.
