Dairy exports reached a record of US$ 1.4 billion between January and October of this yearwhich represents an increase of 32.6% compared to the same period last year, according to the situation report of the National Dairy Directorate.
During the said period 360,000 tons were sent abroad, 8.8% more than in 2021, and the main products exported in volume were whole powdered milk, whey, mozzarella, skimmed powdered milk, semi-hard cheese and modified milk; among the most important.
As stated this Saturday in a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, the main destinations were Brazil, Algeria, Chile and China.

Lastly, it was reported that national production in October 2022 was 1,114 million liters, with an interannual variation accumulated October 22-October 21 of 0.6%; while 2021 was the second year with the highest milk production, exceeding 11,500 million liters.
