Tacna: Laboratory explosion leaves dental technician in serious condition

When he was carrying out work in his laboratory, a dental technician suffered serious injuries when he suffered an explosion with the implements he was handling.

The work accident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. yesterday on the fourth floor of the building located at 624 Bolognesi Avenue, in the middle of the Tacna fence.

Police investigate accident

The professional technician was identified as César Condori Tellería (38), a dental technician who was working with equipment and products for the manufacture of dental pieces.

For reasons that are still matters of investigation, an explosion was recorded which caused serious burns, for which paramedics from the general corps of volunteer firefighters of Peru were summoned.

Has reserved prognosis

Up to 80% of his body would be compromised, so he was taken to the Hipólito Unanue hospital in an emergency.

The doctors pointed out that his diagnosis is reserved. The police are investigating the causes of the explosion.
