A UNP van with 168 kilos of cocaine fell into the hands of the authorities, it was driven by a former police officer, who was assigned to him under conditions that the unit has not explained and there are the names of Agmeth Escaf, and his friend Carlos Calero, former presenter from day to day

It is not publicly clear if the “relative” for whom Carlos Calero was looking for the phone number of the director of the UNP, because he had put papers and the score did not favor him for vehicle assignment, is the same Manuel Castañeda who fell with a security scheme van in which he was carrying a load of cocaine. To whom Calero asked for contact, it was Agmeth Escaf.
That capture occurred last week, it was the same National Protection Unit, which revealed that in the vehicle they were carrying 168 kilos of cocaine.
The capture occurred in Cauca, where the Attorney General’s Office reported on December 13 that Manuel Antonio Castañeda Bernal was prosecuted.
Castañeda, he was the one who was in that armored truck and it is one of those assigned to protect people in the country.
Escaf and Calero
It is not clear if Castañeda is the relative of Carlos Calero, or who.
His name appeared, because on October 24, the current representative to the Chamber for the Historical Pact, Agmeth Escaf, wrote to his friend to ask for a number of the director of the UNP.
According to the conversations revealed by Escaf himself a few hours ago, Calero told him that he needed to speak with someone from the unit because “a relative” had submitted papers for protection and the score did not favor her.
The former presenter of Día a Día, explained that the score had come out of 53, and the one required to assign a vehicle with a van is 56.
Escaf told him that he was giving him the number of an adviser.
“I only did the favor of giving a number, I did not know Carlos’s relative,” he explained.
He said that he did not make any contact, was not in any meeting or established a direct conversation so that Calero’s relative was assigned a scheme. “It wasn’t influence peddling,” he says.
Up to now Carlos Calero has not publicly explained this situation.
If he already did, apparently, before authorities.
However, neither Escaf nor Calero are linked to the process.
The driver had already been reported
The president of the UNP union, Wilson Devia, told Noticias RCN that Manuel Antonio Castañeda had already been denounced for having allegedly been involved in transporting 400 kilos of marijuana in vans belonging to the entity.
He indicated that, apparently, he is involved in the transport of drugs from the Southwest to the center of the country.
