In a victory speech, the elected head of the ANR, Horacio Cartes, and the ANR candidate for president, Santiago Peña, called for unity and an embrace among all Colorados with a view to the April 2023 general elections.
From the Colorado Honor Command Post, the new head of the ANR, Horacio Cartes, first thanked God for the extraordinary civic festival and congratulated Santiago Peña and Pedro Allianaand the followers who made possible the triumph of the movement in these internal party.
“I take this opportunity to tell you that let’s hug everyone. I promise to do my best, I ask for wisdom and that we become a tool for the people. The ANR is much more than an electoral machine, ”he pointed out.
The one chosen to lead the Colorados also said that “theThe ANR is not a party for us to fight, some idiots, we are the privileged ones who honor us with their votes. I hope to repay your trust, earn the respect and affection of those who did not vote. I want a united party. Santi you will be the next president of the Republic”.

At the same time, the ANR candidate for president, Santiago Peña, highlighted that it was a historic day and first thanked God, his family and the colorados who bet on his figure.
“A dream of a country with more opportunities for all. I promise to honor with a government that we are all proud of, a party at the service of a country. Today we all win, today the will of thousands of people won, today hope won, we Paraguayans who do not want other Paraguayans to be in need when we have a rich country”, he indicated.
“Of course there will be a republican hug but not with those who forgot about the people”, he highlighted at another time.
“Paraguay needs us united, although some want to see us fight, but we won’t give them the pleasure. Tell all Colorados that they have a president of the ANR with open arms and that he is committed to harmony and fraternity among all. From today we are list 1, of the unity of all Colorados and all Paraguayans. Let’s work together, we want a better country, with the strength of a united party. From today we are all 1”, he mentioned.
