In addition to the deputy general director of Tourism of the Municipality of Maldonado (IDM), Melina Bentancur participated in the event; the president and secretary of the Chamber of Commerce LGBT from Argentina, Pablo De Luca and Gustavo Noguera respectively.
Bentancur said on the occasion that “they worked hard throughout the year and that has been reflected in tourism, in the community and in all the operators that have joined this group, which are more than 40,” said the chief, adding that it is “a joint effort by the Municipality, the chambers of Uruguay and Argentina, all the operators and the Ministry of Tourism, we continue forward and hopefully this season will be very happy for everyone.”
De Luca, for his part, highlighted: “we have the luck and privilege of working for many years with Punta del Este tourism providers that welcome the LGBT public.”
Finally, Gustavo Noguera remarked that “working at the regional level benefits us all, Argentines and Uruguayans,” he concluded.
