Jarris Almanzar Damian45, who died during an alleged confrontation with agents the National Policewas pointed out as one of the main drug traffickers in Las Terreras, Samaná, and San Francisco de Macorís.
The National Police indicated that Almánzar Damián was actively wanted after several arrest warrants were issued against him, for his alleged participation in multiple criminal acts.
Against Almánzar Damián, there was arrest warrant No. 604-2021 saut 00460, for violation of articles 309 Penal Code, to the detriment of Juan Francisco Moya.
Whoever violates said article, which refers to causing injuries and blows, can be punished with six months in prison or two years and a fine of five hundred to five thousand pesos.
The other order is No. 604-2022 suat 0013 for alleged violation of articles 307, 12, 396, of Law 136-03, of the Code for the protection of the rights of Children and Adolescents, to the detriment of Karina Morell.
The articles refer to the right to the integrity of the person and contemplate sanctions for the abuse of children and adolescents.
Likewise, arrest warrant No.604-2022 Eaut 00136, for violation of articles 307 of the Dominican Penal Code regarding threats, and, again, articles 12 and 396 of Law 136-03 to the detriment of Mrs. Karina Morel.
In addition, on 12-15-2022 for shooting Carlos Manuel Galván (Yeison or el Sonso), 28, in Las Terrenas, explained the National Police.
The dead men were identified as Jarris Almánzar Damián, 45, identified as one of the main drug traffickers in Las Terreras, Samaná, and San Francisco de Macorís, and Jeffry Óscar Sosa Mejía, 36.
They seized two firearms that they were carrying illegally and with which they shot at the acting police officers.
