round by round

First round:
Sergio Martpinez waits for Macaulay Mcgowan in the short distance and in one movement the former world champion slipped and stumbled, but without problems. Martínez goes back better than he attacks, on the English side he connects a combination of four effective blows, but without much power.

Second round:
Martínez takes the initiative and connects a right hook, before the doubt of his rival. A combination of rectum that hits on the humanity of the Englishman, although he shows no signs of feeling the attack. Quilmeño’s right hand that makes Mcgowan stumble and marks his fist in his left eye.

Third assault:
Mcgowan comes out to seek to attack the Argentine, while the former world champion walks ringside very well. Martinez hit the right jab to the Englishman’s chest and the left straight jab effectively on a couple of occasions. Very good forehand from the European that the Argentine felt and both started with a blow for a blow. Improves English, compared to the first two rounds.

Fourth round:
Martínez waits for the right moment to attack the Englishman, while he counterattacks with right hands. For his part, Mcgowan connects an accurate straight to “Maravilla” that made him feel in his legs, although he was able to recover. The Argentine tries to keep his distance, although the Englishman takes him into the fight on a blow-by-blow basis and demands that he defend himself.

Fifth round:
Mcgowan goes out to look for the assault and tries to connect blows in the short distance, while the Quilmeño defends himself with movements on the canvas. The European lands a right hook and presses him into the ropes. The Argentine, of great work in defense. He marks his attack with the accurate left straight that is felt by his opponent, while then combining short and straight hooks. The young rival submits him to “stick by stick” and hits the former world champion with his head when the assault ends.

Sixth round:
Martínez frees himself very well from Mcgowan’s attack and attacks with an accurate right straight that repeatedly said the blow. The English try to attack but the former champion’s defense is much better. The English begins to bleed, before the attacks of the Argentine, who begins to hit in the abdominal area. Right hook and left straight for “Maravilla” who dominated the round.

Seventh round:
“Wonder” works very well with his defense against an opponent who does not attack and tries to find a place. The Argentine leans on his right rectum, to which he adds his left, when the rival lowers his guard. McGowan suffers the Quilmeño’s blows and receives a hook that makes him put his knee on the canvas. The European recovers, although the former champion goes out to look for the fight, but the bell saves him.

Eighth round:
Martínez begins by taking the initiative against the rival waiting in defense and trying to get a hit. Mcgowan tries to connect with the Argentine with his left foot, but only with occasional attempts, well dodged by the Argentine. “Maravilla” tries with a heavy left hand, after an accurate hook that his rival feels.

9th round:
Martínez looks for the straight to the body, on the European side there are only attempts stopped by the boxer himself. Good defense of the Argentine who dodges well the fists he throws with little effectiveness. Martínez’s left is accurate and fast, although he meets a Mcgowan straight well connected to the face of his rival. The Englishman puts in a left jab, although the Argentine responds with a right hand.

Tenth round:
Mcgowan goes out to look for the fight, before a good defense of “Maravilla”, who responds with his left foot in the face of the rival. The European connects two short left-footed shots in the Quilmeño who, although he comes from close range, seeks to “cool down” the fight with a right hand. Straight left and jab to punish the Englishman from the former champion who shows that he is physically well. A hook and after a left foot the Argentine left the rival sitting, where later the crown saved him from the knockout.

The cards: Martínez defeated Mcgowan in a unanimous decision, after the decisions on the judges’ cards that were: 99-89; 98-90 and 99-89.
