IGP-10 has inflation of 0.36% in December

Retail sales fall 0.8% in July, IBGE shows

The General Price Index-10 (IGP-10) recorded inflation of 0.36% in December of this year. In November, there was deflation (fall in prices) of 0.59%. As reported today (15), in Rio de Janeiro, by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), with the December result, the IGP-10 accumulates inflation of 6.08% in 12 months.IGP-10 has inflation of 0.36% in December

In December 2021, there was a deflation of 0.14% in the month, with an accumulated inflation of 17.30% in 12 months.

The high of 0.95 percentage points from November to December this year was driven by wholesale prices. The Broad Producer Price Index (IPA), which measures this segment, went from a deflation of 0.98% in November to 0.31% in December.

The National Construction Cost Index (INCC) also rose, going from an inflation of 0.19% in November to 0.36% in December.

And the National Price Index (IPC), which measures retail, had a drop in inflation, from 0.67% in November to 0.58% in December.

The IGP-10 is calculated based on prices collected between the 11th of the previous month and the 10th of the reference month.
