Doctor José Ramírez favorece un diálogo en conflicto CMD y ARS

Santo Domingo. – The director of INCART and past president of the Dominican Society of Oncology favored a dialogue to put an end to the strikes of medical services.

The director of the National Cancer Institute Rosa Emilia Sánchez Pérez de Tavares understands that for years the Health Risk Administrators (ARS) have been pressured to improve the conditions of doctors and health coverage for the benefit of patients .

He supports the proposal launched by the president of the Dominican Society of Urology, Dr. Miguel Sánchez Caba, for a dialogue to take place between the parties in conflict and for the year to end without strikes.

“I agree with this proposal,” he said, adding “every strike process must end.”

It recognizes that the service strikes developed by the Dominican Medical Association (CMD) and medical societies have been successful.

“At some point it would look as if the CMD did not want to negotiate,” said the influential leader in health issues and specialized oncology services.

“Despite the fact that this negotiation has been requested for years, this process took place, which in my opinion has been successful,” he said.

Dr. Félix Cruz Jiminian and Father Rogelio recently assured that the stoppage of medical services affects the poorest, while the social security expert, Arismendi Díaz Santana, criticized the high amounts handled by the ARS CMD and the alleged violations of norms regulatory.
