The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has arranged the entry of passengers only to air terminals throughout the country, this in order to safeguard the safety of passengers, users and workers.
Consequently, Only passengers with scheduled flights and presenting their boarding pass will be able to enter the Jorge Chávez International Airport terminal.
However, LAP reported that if any special assistance is required for older adults, minors or people with limited mobility, they may enter with a companion.
It is important to remember that passengers must arrive at the airport well in advance, two hours before for domestic flights and three for international flights.
Likewise, the entity maintained that they are reiterated to inquire about the status of their flights previously through the official communication channels of the airlines and airports.
“Given the current situation, we urge our passengers to collaborate in complying with this security measure to guarantee that airport operations are carried out in an orderly manner,” the statement specified.
Airports situation
LAP referred earlier about the situation of the airports of Cusco and Arequipa, whose operations were suspended due to protests in the interior of the country.
The concessionaire explained that the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco would resume operations at 8:40 pm today, Tuesday, December 13.
“Those passengers who have scheduled flights to and from the city of Cusco must coordinate with their respective airlines to reschedule their itineraries and stay informed through the official communication channels of the airlines and airports.”indicated.
On the other hand, it was mentioned that the Alfredo Rodríguez Ballón International Airport in Arequipa will maintain its operations suspended due to the impact that its airport infrastructure has suffered as a result of the acts that occurred.
