The Public Ministry will not disclose, for the moment, the content of the agreements it has reached with part of the defendants in the so-called “Coral and Coral 5G” cases, according to the director of the Specialized Prosecution of Corruption. Administrative, Wilson Camacho.
Camacho said that the content of these agreements will only be revealed when they are presented in court, in the knowledge of the preliminary trial that began yesterday in the Sixth Investigative Court of the National District.

Camacho, director of the Special Prosecutor for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (Pepca), referred specifically to the agreements reached with the Public Ministry in the so-called Coral and Coral 5G cases.

He stated that this case began yesterday with the reading of the accusation in the preliminary trial that is taking place in the Sixth Investigating Court of the National District.
“In this case, as in all our cases, defenses approach to try to reach agreements with the Public Ministry; These approaches to try to reach agreements are a sample of the strength and forcefulness of the accusation of the Public Ministry, which shows that it is not possible for it to be refuted, ”he said.
Camacho indicated that among the issues presented yesterday are the theft of funds from the payroll, fuel, intelligence and rations of the Presidential Security Corps (Cusep) and the Specialized Tourist Security Corps (Cestur).
The investigative work of the Public Ministry carried out with the Coral and Coral 5G operations led prosecutors to file charges of administrative corruption against 48 people, 3 physical and 18 legal, accused of defrauding the Dominican State with more than 4,000 million pesos.
In addition to Cusep and Cestur, the corrupt network dismantled by both operations affected funds of the National Council for Children and Adolescents (Conani).
Agreements
Among the defendants who have reached agreements with the Public Prosecutor’s Office is Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Erasmo Roger Pérez, one of the “operative arms” of the former head of the Presidential Security Corps, Adán Cáceres. Roger Pérez agreed to return assets for more than one million pesos.
