The National Government announced that this year 1,483,179 units of pork and chicken meat products will be donated to families in conditions of social vulnerability, through the Solidarity Christmas program.
The products that will be offered are picnic ham, pork loin (Boston Butt), Christmas ribeye, third leg, pork and chicken ball ham, as well as poults, all of excellent quality and completely national.
The companies from which these products have been purchased are Alicapsa, Avipac, Toledano, Carnes de Coclé, Arce Avícola, Picsa, Víveres de Panamá, Agropecuaria El Buen Pastor, Animal Food Company, Consorcio de Alimentos Agropecuarios, Empresas Melo y Monica processor.
Solidarity Christmas is also a tool for economic reactivation that entails an investment of B/.24.9 million, which will allow the local agribusiness to generate jobs.
This is an initiative of the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, and constitutes a substantial contribution to families and the agricultural sector.
The delivery of the products will be carried out by local authorities, as was done in 2020 and 2021.
