President attends Mother's Day Mass

President Jair Bolsonaro arrived at 9 am this morning (27) at the Rainha da Paz Military Cathedral, in Brasília, for the seventh-day mass of his mother, Olinda Bonturi Bolsonaro.President attends Mother's Day Mass

He was accompanied by First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro and his son, Councilman Carlos Bolsonaro (Republicans – RJ), as well as three military ministers – Walter Braga Netto (Defense), Luiz Eduardo Ramos (General Secretary) and Augusto Heleno (Office of Institutional Security). The mass was celebrated by the military archbishop of Brazil, Dom Fernando Guimarães.

Another celebration in memory of Dona Olinda will be held by the family today in São Paulo, but without the presence of the president. Because of the seventh-day mass, Bolsonaro canceled his participation in the summit of the Forum for the Progress and Development of South America (Prosul) in Cartagena, Colombia. Vice President Hamilton Mourão represents Brazil at the meeting.

Historic

THE death of Dona Olinda, in the early hours of last Friday (21), at the age of 94, was announced by the president himself on his social networks. She was hospitalized at Hospital São João, in Registro, in the interior of São Paulo.
