East Wednesday 14, at 6:00 p.m., in the Plaza de Ascension de Guarayos there will be a town hall, convened by the local civics, due to the encroachments on private properties and forest reservesand the inaction of the national government, as announced by the civic president of the Guarayos province, Salvador Vaca.
“There is an armed militia, which is destined to invade our province; It is not about simple subjugation, but about an orchestrated situation, a invasion of private properties, the Guarayos TCO, forest reservesto forest management plans, so there is a threat against the productive apparatus, not only in the province, but also against Santa Cruz”, he explains in a video in which he invites the council.
“This invasion is being tolerated and consented to by this Government (national), there are properties that have filed legal proceedings; properties that already have a sentence for eviction, with eviction orders of more than a year, and that the Police have not enforced, waiting for orders from above, orders from their boss at the highest level, ”he denounced.
Vaca argued that what they see as “Total lack of justice on the part of the Government towards the people” is the reason to call the council in your province.
“It is not possible that a State, in which we believe that the law still exists, there are organized gangs of criminals -with military tactics, with knowledge, with intelligence, with superior orders- (that) they come and kidnap peoplemake her kneel down, give them machetesthem shoot and point weapons at them and burn their properties; That this is happening in our province and that we can simply watch from the box is unacceptable”, described the civic, portraying the reality faced by residents of Guarayos.
He made a call to: “defend Santa Cruz, defend our province and defend our life situation as people of peace”.
INRA announced that, in the following days, it would execute 17 eviction orders on land in the department of Santa Cruz.
