Mexico proposes to carry out energy consultations of the T-MEC in the CDMX

In a statement issued on Monday night, the agency in charge of Raquel Buenrostro explained that the work will be carried out in Mexico City between December and January 2023, where they will address issues such as: legal situation of the electricity industry, company protections, permit review, Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (BUPA) transition, among other issues.

Washington and Ottawa requested consultations on dispute settlement with Mexico in July, arguing that the nationalist policies of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador violated the North American trade agreement, TMEC.
