Starting today, the vaccination campaign begins in favor of children between 5 and 11 years old in Huancavelica

The vaccination day will begin today, Thursday, January 27, and will last until the 30th in three educational institutions: La Victoria de Ayacucho, No. 36001 San Cristóbal and No. 37001 “Pepín Cárdenas”.

The coordinator of the RDSH immunization health strategy, Nathaly LLihua Ccora, indicated that, although all children between 5 and 11 years of age will be immunized, the priority of the day is to vaccinate minors with comorbidity, that is, those who have down syndrome, hemodialysis treatment, cancer patients, HIV, mental or neurodevelopmental disorders.

Other comorbidities that will be prioritized are childhood obesity and diabetes; the parents or guardians of these children must present a document that can be a certificate or medical prescription.

“The parent or guardian must bring their DNI and also the DNI or birth certificate of the minor, the goal to vaccinate in these four days is 2,496 children, however, the general goal of children is 17,829 ″, specified the professional.

LLihua Ccora explained that, during the day, they will also vaccinate children and adolescents who have not been vaccinated so far or have yet to complete a dose.

The director of the Huancavelica Health Network, Hardy Esplana Boza, invited Huancavelican parents to take their little ones to be vaccinated.
