During his tour, the president endorsed his absolute support for the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, asked not to “block” him and called for resolving the differences that exist with the local Congress.
On a work tour of that entity to supervise the works of El Cuchillo 2, he was questioned if he supported the emecista governor. “Yes, I back Samuel, completely,” he replied.
“They cannot block the governor. They cannot leave it without a budget (for 2023). Fortunately there are mechanisms that can be used, in accordance with the law, which is to apply the budget of the previous year. In this case, that the same budget is applied with the inflation adjustments, ”he noted.
In addition, he recalled that federal shares will continue to arrive punctually to the state.
This is not the first time that AMLO has offered his support to Garcia, since on December 2 during the 48 Ordinary Session of the National Public Security Council and the 5th. Ordinary Session of the National Civil Protection Council in Veracruz, he dedicated a few words to him.
