A policeman was assaulted, shot and later the victim of an arson attack by a group of subjects in the Traiguén commune, La Araucanía region.
The event was recorded during the night of last Saturday, when the police officer was traveling in his vehicle through the sector. At that moment, he was accosted by about 10 armed unknown persons, who forced him down and shot him in the foot.
Added to this, the subjects stole the car and later set it on fire, leaving it abandoned in an empty place. preliminarily the affected policeman is out of vital risk.
The PDI commissioner, Patricio Ibáñez, stated that “at this time our specialized teams are developing the necessary procedures in order to establish the dynamics of the facts.”
