That area borders Michoacán and according to the authorities the wave of violence is part of the dispute over that territory between the criminal groups of La Familia Michoacana with Los Tequileros.
According to reports, the residents were summoned and taken to the Ignacio Zaragoza elementary school in that community and there they were murdered.
The newspaper South Acapulco reported, through testimonies from neighbors, that around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, a group of men arrived in the community and called people to go to the elementary school field, where they shot at they.
